Tango Show
Somebody pinch me…it’s like I’m living out a dream and taking a vacation at the same time! Our class attended a Tango Show last night at Cafe Tortoni. What a performance! We had the basement of the cafe to ourselves and enjoyed the quaint, intimate setting. It was more of a mixed show than a tango performance. There was a piano, bass, and accordion, accompanied by an outstanding tenor singer. My favorite part of the show featured a percussion duet by indigenous drummers. I’m definitely signing up for tango lessons at some point during this stay. Also, I got the number of a couple that gives private salsa lessons for only 20 pesos an hour!
