Jackie, Coral, and I just returned from a nice trip to Puerto Madryn. We had 18 hours each way in the bus, but it went by very quickly. I had never ridden in such a comfortable, spacious bus. Sleeping with such accommodations makes the trip fly by. We had about 2 1/2 days in the Puerto Madryn area and really enjoyed ourselves. The folks at El Retorno Hostel really saved us by helping book sightseeing trips for the whales and penguins.

We first stopped to view the sea elephants and their newborn pups. These animals are enormous! Like blobs just lying on the beach.

The whale viewing was a cookie cutter tourists trip, but enjoyable nonetheless. I caught some great video of the Southern Right Whale coming extremely close to our boat.
