Going to Patagonia
I had been planning to visit Patagonia by myself for 3 weeks. Not that I wanted to, but my friends from the language school have left and my Argentine friends don’t have money. Last week I took a shot in the dark and contacted my one friend left from the language school, Niko. It just so happens that his parents are flying in from Switzerland at the end of the month in order to do some traveling in Patagonia. I’m planning to meet up with them in Bariloche around the 10th of March or so. This will give us about 10 days together around Bariloche and El Calafate. When I look at pictures of the region, I can’t believe I’m going!
While foreigners pay a lot more for their apartments here, renting by the month gives me flexibility. My rent agreement expires March 11th. So, I can pack up all my things and keep them at someone’s house in order to avoid paying unnecessary rent. In turn, I can use this money to travel.
